| Adoption: Pre- and Post- Placement Workshops |
In these two-hour supportive and compassionate workshops, parents explore attachment, the needs of children, communicating about adoption, adoption focus, and beliefs about family building and parenthood. For those in post-placement, we introduce the social and lifestyle changes which they may experience as new parents along with developmental milestones. Discussion and questions are welcome! All participants receive handouts and resources. Facilitated by Maggie Macaulay, MS Ed, who has experienced two parts of the adoption triad, these workshops offer your clients support, understanding and education to make the transition into parenthood smooth.
